Casey & Morgan // Engaged // Northern Maine Photographer // Houlton, Maine
Meet Casey and Morgan.
I was making ribs in the apartment one day and some of the sauce started to burn on the pan, making the fire alarm go off. It was my fault for not securing the foil more tightly. I didn't want our neighbor, Lois, to wonder what was going on next door. I quickly ran over to let her know everything was fine, not realizing she had company. Allow me to let you in on a little secret. When I’m cooking in the kitchen, I don’t like to wear my nice clothes. In fact, I was wearing my grandfather’s old sweater and some leggings with flour on them from the cookies I was mixing up. I was a hot mess to say the least! I walked through the door of her apartment and who is visiting her? That’s right - her granddaughter Morgan. I can’t say I nailed this first impression.
On a separate occasion, I met her fiancé Casey. My husband decided to join a men’s league basketball team this year and Casey happened to be on the same team. Thankfully, I don’t have any embarrassing stories to share from that. Later on, I received an email from Morgan. I was so excited to hear of their engagement. We began planning their session and going over all kinds of fun ideas to implement into their shoot.
February was colder than usual this year. Casey and Morgan braved the chilly temperatures for some gorgeous, romantic shots on her family’s property. Chadwick Florist and Greenhouses made a gorgeous bouquet to match Morgan’s dress. Her dad built a beautiful fire and her mom supplied the yummy hot cocoa. Everything about it was cozy and sweet. It all came together perfectly. I couldn’t be happier with the images from their session.
